How to | Selena Gomez DIY Bedroom Decor and Wall Art

How to DIY Selena Gomez Bedroom Decor and Wall Art

This is an illustration of actress and singer Selena Gomez. I was inspired to make her into a paper craft caricature after the release of her latest single, "Hands to Myself".
Selena was quite challenging to caricature. Just like Ariana Grande, I struggled to figure out which feature I should exaggerate.
In the end I realised her mouth was the only thing that needed over exaggerating. This has helped maintain her baby face and prevented her features from looking too distorted.

How to | Ariana Grande DIY Bedroom Decor and Wall Art

How to DIY Ariana Grande Bedroom Decor and Wall Art!
This my caricature of the lovely Ariana Grande! I am happy with how this illustration came out. The only thing I would change if I was to do it again would be her hair. One thing I would do, is change the colour of her hair to match the pastel blue colour she had in her music video for her single Focus.
Ariana is one of the hardest people in the world to caricature. I think it's because she doesn't have anything majorly wrong with her face XD. Her features are in proportion so it makes it hard know what to exaggerate. After days of studying Ariana's face for about a week, I decided to exaggerated her eyes slightly.

How to | Marilyn Monroe DIY Bedroom Decor and Wall Art

How to DIY Marilyn Monroe Bedroom Decor and Wall Art

This is a paper craft caricature of Marilyn Monroe! I am very happy with how this caricature turned out. Unlike my Taylor Swift caricature, it actually looks like the person :D
In stead of making the picture freehand, I practiced on both paper and on the computer. Even though I would love to be like other caricature artists and be able to draw perfectly on the spot, I need to realise I am not yet at the stage where I can do that. I think I need a few more years of hard work to be able to develop my skills to be able to draw perfectly the first time.

How to | Rita Ora DIY Bedroom Decor and Wall Art

This is the latest caricature in my hall of fame. It's Rita Ora! I was inspired to make this caricature after watching the UK X Factor, as Rita is one of the two newest judges.

I began by studying pictures of Rita from multiple angles. Picking a look wasn't too hard as she hasn't changed much over the years. Her hair varies in length but she seems to have maintained the bleach blonde hair and signature red lip.
Overall, I'm happy with how it turned out but I did have a hard time trying to capture Rita's likeness. It usually takes a day for me to create one of these caricatures, but this one took me 2 to 3 days. I ended up starting from scratch and changing the reference image.

Instead of using a pouty picture I decided to recreate a picture of Rita smiling. As everyone has a unique smile I figured that creating Rita with one would help bring out the likeness in my image and make the caricature more recognisable. Watch my video below to see how I created this piece.

How to | Taylor Swift DIY Bedroom Decor and Wall Art

How to DIY Taylor Swift Bedroom Decor and Wall Art

This is my first paper craft caricature! I decided to choose Taylor Swift simple because I have never caricatured her before. If I was to caricature Taylor again I would make her eyes slightly slimmer and her cheeks even fuller. To be honest, I don't really like this caricature because it doesn't immediately look like Taylor Swift (I don't think) but I decided to post it anyway because I want to show all my work and I can always make another caricature of Taylor later down the line when my art skills have improved.

I made this cute cartoon using simple shapes cut out of paper and card. I love making this style of art because I think it's very different and as an artist its so hard to stand out! I created this piece of art by sketching pictures of Taylor and then breaking her features down to simple shapes. After I'd sketched the shapes I recreated them in Microsoft Word. I then cut them out after I'd printed them on to white card.

In the future I will not be making my caricatures with black outlines. I prefer how my caricatures look with out them but if I recreate a cartoon character then I will most probably use one :D

This is a tutorial I made for my YouTube channel, show you exactly how I made this cute paper craft caricature!

How to | Adele DIY Bedroom Decor and Wall Art

How to DIY Adele Bedroom Decor and Wall Art.
Hello all! This is a caricature I made of singing sensation Adele. I was inspired to make this caricature after Adele released her latest single, Hello. Over all, I am happy with how it looks and I enjoyed the process of making it. Once again, I caricatured Adele on paper for practice and then when I was happy with how she looked I recreated the simple shapes on the computer.
I've really taken to making paper craft caricatures over the drawn, sketched or painted caricatures. I haven't seen many other artists using paper to make caricatures so it could be something I make into my signature style!

Mean Girls Caricature | Paper Craft

This is a caricature I made of the Mean Girls movie poster. It was extremely fiddly and time consuming to make but I am very happy with how it turned out. Everything, apart from the title was made from paper.
